Brandon Spikes isn’t letting bygones be bygones. The former Patriots linebacker, who left the team on unhappy terms after last season and then signed a one-year, $3.25 million deal with the Buffalo Bills, tweeted “4 years a slave” Wednesday, an apparent reference to his time with the Pats. Clearly, Spikes has a problem with his former team and is looking to get some revenge next season. “It’s icing on my cake to hand the #Patriots two big [losses] this year. #justwatch,” he tweeted. “Great games on the schedule for 2014, but it’s going to be like Christmas to hand the #Patriots #PatriotsNation a L...twice!” The Patriots did not immeditately respond to a phone call Wednesday. At the end of the season, Spikes was upset about coach Bill Belichick’s decision to place him on injured reserve. Spikes claimed he could have played.Mark Shanahan can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. Follow him on Twitter @MarkAShanahan. Meredith Goldstein can be reached at email@example.com.
