Directors Gita Pullapilly and Aron Gaudet at the Independent Film Festival Boston on Wednesday night for their film “Beneath the Harvest Sky.”

The Independent Film Festival Boston kicked off Wednesday night with a screening of Gita Pullapilly and Aron Gaudet’s “Beneath the Harvest Sky,” a thriller about two friends who want to get out of their small town in Maine. One of the movie’s stars, Aidan Gillen, was at the Somerville Theatre for IFFB’s opening-night festivities. Gillen is best known as Lord “Littlefinger” Baelish on “Game of Thrones.” He looks different without that mustache, doesn’t he? The directors take “Harvest” to Bar Harbor for screenings on Friday. The IFFB runs through April 30.
