Local eateries serve up benefit for firefighter families

Hungry do-gooders raised more than $90,000 Wednesday night to benefit the families of Boston firefighters Lieutenant Edward J. Walsh Jr. and Michael R. Kennedy , who died in March in a fire in Back Bay. More than 25 restaurants, including La Morra , Mistral Group, Post 390, the Bristol Lounge, Atlantic Fish Co., Stella, Stephanie’s, and Sweet Cheeks Q offered dishes from their menus at Davio’s Boston, while charitable participants opened their wallets for a live auction hosted by Billy Costa of Kiss 108.
