Funny man Will Ferrell has signed on to play Bobby Riggs in a movie about the infamous 1973 “Battle of the Sexes” tennis match between Riggs and Billie Jean King . But, King, who was in town Friday morning to deliver the commencement address at Simmons College hasn’t given much thought as to who should play her in the drama, which will be based on an ESPN Magazine feature called “The Matchmaker: Bobby Riggs.” “I don’t really know who the best person is to play me,” King said shortly before she addressed the students. “My friends have said Jennifer Lawrence . They said she’s feisty, and you need someone who has guts. Emma Stone was also a suggestion.” Holly Hunter portrayed King in a 2001 made-for-TV movie about “The Battle of the Sexes.” Regardless, King said she’s more a fan of Ferrell than of giving speeches. Before she spoke to the Simmons graduating class, she said that she still gets a bit nervous when it comes to public speaking. “Once I walk on the stage, I’m very much at peace,” she said. “It’s like a switch. I never stop working up until the last second. I may change my speech, I may throw it out when I’m up there.”
