MIT gets a kick out of World Cup

The MIT Museum and the MIT-Brazil program cohosted a kickoff party Saturday for the World Cup that examined the science of soccer. The 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil opens June 12 in São Paulo. The day’s program included a ball juggling competition, music, and a lesson from MIT applied mathematics professor John Bush about the physics of the sport. Participants included MIT’s Jonas Brunschwig (above) and Silvina Cajueiro of Las Vegas (left).
