Mocked by The Onion, MFA responds

The satirical website The Onion is mocking Boston again. This time, though, the wags who like to ridicule the Hub for being petty and parochial got as good as they gave. In a piece about the Museum of Fine Arts, a fictional tourist is quoted as saying, “Look, when I go to a museum I want to see that soup can painting, the sculpture of the thinking guy, and the Mona Lisa. Not a bunch of freaking quilts. What a scam.” To its credit, the MFA responded via Twitter. “@TheOnion finally calls us out. We would like to formally apologize for not having a Mona Lisa.” Well played.
