Ringo Starr and his band dine at Davio’s

Davio’s played host to a posse of vintage rockers this week as Ringo Starr brought his All-Starr Band into the Park Square restaurant for dinner. The former Beatles drummer and his band were holed up at the Four Seasons while playing shows over the weekend in Providence and Connecticut. But Monday was an off-night, so Starr, his tour manager Wayne Lebeaux, and the band, which includes Todd Rundgren, Santana’s Gregg Rolie, Toto’s Steve Lukather, and Richard Page of Mr. Mister took over the private wine room. Starr is a spry 73, probably because he eats so healthy, opting for pesto and an arugula salad. “We have a special, aged balsamic that he loves,” says Davio’s owner Steve DiFillippo. “He was so nice and he looks great.” It seems most of Starr’s band is also living clean these days. A few had something stronger, but most drank water.
