Boston will be the second stop on Lena Dunham’s upcoming book tour. The “Girls” star, who releases her memoir, “Not That Kind of Girl,” on Sept. 30, will have a conversation with writer Mary Karr at the Wilbur Theatre on Oct. 2. The night is being planned by Brookline Booksmith. But, wait, there’s more. Dunham is also looking for an opening act for her appearance. On her website, she’s soliciting videos from people who might want to perform — “singing, comedy, musical spoons, etc” — with the only stipulations being that the acts are three to five minutes long and performers must live within a 75-mile radius of Boston. You can submit on her website. But get cracking because submissions will not be accepted after 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 1. Tickets for the Wilbur event are $38. No word yet on whether that includes the book.
