Lesley student Emilia McGrath talks with author Bill McKibben. Mark Teiwes

Best-selling author and environmentalist Bill McKibben had a big Monday. In the morning, Bristol District Attorney C. Samuel Sutter dropped charges against environmental activists who had planned to use McKibben as a high-profile witness in their trial. Hours after that news broke, and Sutter was seen with a McKibben article in hand, the author was at Lesley University to give a lecture and talk to students, including Emilia McGrath (above). The school’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences has chosen McKibben’s “Eaarth: Making a Life on a Tough New Planet” as common reading for students and faculty this year.
