This year’s blindfolded taste testers included Mary-Catherine Deibel of the late great UpStairs on the Square, “Confessions of a Chocoholic” blogger Bianca Garcia, Perkins food service director Bryce MacKnight, and the Improper Bostonian’s Jonathan Soroff. . . . We’re told Room to Grow, the Boston-based nonproft that supports babies born into poverty, will hold its annual fall gala Nov. 14 and “Kill Bill” actress Uma Thurman will join documentary filmmaker Ken Burns and wife Julie as co-chairs, with hockey Hall of Famer Ray Bourque as the special guest.
