Kirkus Reviews gave out its first-ever Kirkus Prize for fiction, nonfiction, and young readers’ literature on Thursday night. The fiction prize went to a New Englander — Maine author Lily King , for her novel “Euphoria.” (Roz Chast took the nonfiction honor, while Kate Samworth won the young readers’ prize.)
