Kneerim, Williams & Bloom turns 25

Literary agency Kneerim, Williams & Bloom celebrated its 25th birthday Tuesday night with a party at the historic Tavern Club on Boylston Place. The agency reps a pack of local and nationally recognized novelists, historians, scientists, and journalists, which brought out a guest list that included poet and Boston University prof Robert Pinsky; novelist and investment banker John Spooner; Harvard University’s Stephen Greenblatt; Greeblatt’s wife, Ramie Targoff , who’s an author and Renaissance lit professor at Brandeis; Carla Kaplan, who wrote “Miss Anne in Harlem: The White Women of the Black Renaissance”; and Larry Tye, former Globe writer and author of “Superman: The High-Flying History of America’s Most Enduring Hero.” The stars of the party, though, were the agency's founding partners, Jill Kneerim and Ike Williams.
