Boston’s Mark Wahlberg is the highest-paid actor, according to a new list put out by Forbes. He earned $68 million pretax in Forbes’s “12-month scoring period,” says the magazine. He beat out last year’s No. 1, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who placed No. 2 with $65 million this year. A few other locals made the Top 20. Sudbury’s Chris Evans (a.k.a Captain America) is No. 18 on the list with $18 million. Matt Damon, whose “Jason Bourne” was out last summer, is No. 16 with $21 million, and New Hampshire’s Adam Sandler is No. 4 with $50.5 million. Worth mentioning: The top-earner on Forbes’s list of actresses — which was released last week — is Emma Stone, who made $26 million during the scoring period. That means that Stone, who stars opposite Steve Carell in “Battle of the Sexes,” made less than every actor in the men’s Top 10. Stone said in an interview with Out magazine in July, “I’ve needed my male co-stars to take a pay cut so that I may have parity with them. And that’s something they do for me because they feel it’s what’s right and fair.”
