Showtime hosted a premiere party in Los Angeles this week for its new series “SMILF,” a South Boston-set comedy about a single mom and her family. The show comes from Boston-bred actress-writer-producer Frankie Shaw, who’s also featured in the local movie “Stronger” as Erin Hurley’s sister. The “SMILF” cast includes Rosie O’Donnell and Miguel Gomez, of “The Strain.” Connie Britton also signed up for a recurring role. “SMILF” premieres for the rest of us Nov. 5.
