If at first you don’t succeed, try try again.

That’s the approach being taken by actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Newton native Brad Falchuk, who are apparently tying the knot after three years of dating.

Us Weekly reports that the pair, whose first marriages each ended in divorce, aren’t talking publicly about their plan to get hitched, but it’s happening.

Falchuk, who attended Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill before going to Hobart and William Smith Colleges, is the co-creator of “Glee” and “American Horror Story” with Ryan Murphy. His brother is Evan Falchuk, who ran unsuccessfully for Massachusetts governor as a member of the United Independent Party. Falchuk and his first wife, Suzanne Bukinik, have two children.

Paltrow, who won the best actress Oscar for “Shakespeare in Love,” was married for 13 years to Coldplay singer Chris Martin, with whom she has two children, Apple and Moses. (She was previously engaged to Brad Pitt and also had a three-year relationship with Cambridge-bred actor-director Ben Affleck.) Paltrow and Martin split — or “consciously uncoupled,” as they said at the time — in 2014 and officially divorced last year.

Paltrow occasionally posts pictures of herself and Falchuk on Instagram, including on Halloween and also last March on Falchuk’s birthday.
