Early spring means early garden chores

With spring on fast-forward, so are garden chores and activities. Suddenly, there’s a lot to get done. The unseasonable weather has advanced the season so plants are blooming very early, but cold snaps can still happen at any time, as evidenced by all the brown blossoms hanging from local magnolia trees that started out pink but got frosted a few weeks ago. Still, it’s the lack of rain that’s the biggest challenge in the garden now.
