What Mom will get for Mother’s Day: a sweet card from CVS, adorable handmade crafts from the kids, and a small box of Godiva Chocolates. Of course — of course! — the second, heartfelt list of goodies is appreciated by any mom, but . . .

So, I want a watch, a smelly candle, a scarf and a pair of platform shoes to break my neck in while chasing after a toddler?? Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. And I don't know any other mom's that want this crap either. What we want is a freakin' DAY TO OURSELVES! Alone...doing whatever we want or NOTHING at all. We want an entire day/weekend/week off without whining, demands, slave labor, and putting EVERYONE else ahead of us. Maybe some of us would like to take a shower, in the morning, uninterrupted? And I know we'd definitely like to use the bathroom without an audience. Take all this garbage that needs to be bought and just leave us alone for one day!
