The sights and sounds of the party spilling out the door and onto Newbury Street were like catnip to passersby. Those tending the door explained to potential party crashers that the menswear store Ball and Buck had recently moved from the North End to more prominent Newbury digs, hence the fete. Partygoers who made it inside to celebrate the new Ball and Buck included Boston Bruin Shawn Thornton, suave menswear designer Jeff Lahens, Kickass Cupcake queen Sara Ross, Chanel’s Mary Nobile-King, and Skoah spa owner Peter Dziedzic, all while Ball and Buck owner Mark Bollman worked the crowd. The venison tartare on crostinis may not have been a hit, but the clothes got raves.
