It’s easy being green
Whether you’re well informed about environmentally friendly living or have no idea where to start, you’ll get plenty of ideas at Boston GreenFest 2012. Interactive exhibits and presentations help you make your home more energy efficient, teach about the region’s green entrepreneurs, and explore green transportation options of tomorrow. Sustainability wouldn’t be sustainable without fun and entertainment. The long list of performers includes McAlister Drive, the Boston Tap Company, Vaughn Anthony, Zili Misik, and Farah Siraj. Sunday the event coincides with The Movement Festival, offering dance performances and free dance and movement classes. Tradition continues Immigrants brought the Fisherman’s Feast to the North End in 1910. Festivities include blessing of the fishing waters, a procession of the Madonna statue with six marching bands, and the “Flight of the Angel,” whereby a little girl soars above the crowd and confetti rains down from the rooftops.
