“Woody at 100," a four-CD Woody Guthrie centennial collection, was released in July by Smithsonian Folkways.
Fritz Klaetke, of the South End Visual Dialogue creative agency, is nominated for a Grammy for his design work on the boxed set.
The “Woody at 100” design is in the form of an LP-size book with lyric sheets and drawings by Guthrie.

"There’s a lot of brand equity. I wanted to go back to the way it began. You have to do something appropriate to represent Woody," Klaetke said.
Klaetke, who will be joined by his business partner Susan Battista, will fly to California next week for the 55th annual Grammy Awards.
"Everyone bemoans the decline of the 12-by-12-inch LP, but a book or box set allows you to use a lot more archival materials and text." Klaetke said.
