Did you always plan a career in style?

My background is in biology and architecture, and while I appreciate fashion, I never thought I would be in the industry. We write software that generates designs, and jewelry is a convenient way to monetize our work.

Do you wear your own jewelry?

If I’m not going to be working with machinery in the studio, I wear the silver vessel pendant and stainless-steel 3D-printed cuffs.

Are there any designers you especially admire?

I love Mary Katrantzou’s kaleidoscopic use of pattern. I admire Iris van Herpen; her pieces are very sculptural but completely unwearable. Also Issey Miyake’s and Hussein Chalayan’s work is very thought-provoking. Unfortunately, clothing from the really interesting designers is too expensive.

So whose designs do you wear?

I’m interested in designing my own clothes.
