What do you wear when you’re on location?

You don’t want to be the one that can’t help the crew because you have on high heels. Production is hard work. I wear these cool special edition Adidas sneakers that I got from Barneys and Army green skinny zipper-leg cargo pants by J Brand for the excellent pockets.

What about to a film premiere?

For my Lightning Dreams premiere at the Museum of Science I wore a Zero + Maria Cornejo black silk tunic printed with a neon pattern from Barneys with tough girl Ann Demeulemeester boots and leggings.

Do you notice a relationship between your clothing and your film projects?

Right now I’m editing footage of the [red] Anish Kapoor sculpture in New Zealand, and I want to wear red. Besides, red is really in for spring.

To whom would you compare your style?

I like to think I’m a little rock ’n’ roll, like Kim Gordon.
