Style

the one thing

What do you get when you cross a sex symbol with a squash?

Jonathan Adler’s newest chair, which he calls “sculptural” and “surreal,” boasts a glamorous and curvy silhouette, much like its namesake, Brigitte Bardot. The swooping, low-slung seat rests on tapered, brushed brass legs, creating the effect that it’s floating above the floor. The pumpkin-perfect, channel-tufted orange upholstery, also an addition for fall, adds Art Deco flavor to the retro modern design. “Brigitte” chair, $2,250 at Jonathan Adler, 129 Newbury St., Boston, 617-437-0018, www.jonathanadler.com
