Do you miss the Ramones? Do you consider Patti Smith to be your spirit animal? Do you consider the Cars a “new” band? If so, visit Eastern Standard in Kenmore Square (528 Commonwealth Ave.) on Halloween for a Rumble at the Rat industry party, when the restaurant channels late, lamented neighborhood rock venue the Rathskeller.

Dress as your favorite punk rock hero and enter for a chance to win a free night at the Commonwealth Hotel’s Rathskeller Suite (don’t destroy the room, please). A DJ will spin punk rock tunes, and Eastern Standard staffers will decorate guests with face paint, piercings, and temporary tattoos. Accessorize with limited-edition T-shirts, available for sale at the venue.

There’s also a menu that calls to mind the Rat’s Hoodoo BBQ restaurant. Feast on barbecued meats, burgers, ribs, and onion rings. A $5 entrance fee goes to Right Turn, a local non-profit that provides support to people with substance abuse disorders. Fittingly, the party doesn’t start until 10 p.m.
