NORWALK, Conn. — The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk has completed a $4 million renovation that adds 21 exhibits, 27 species, and more than 300 animals. 

A highlight is the 6,000-gallon Shark & Ray Touch Pool, where visitors can see baby sharks before (and after) they’re born, touch shark teeth, and pose in a dive cage. Along with sharks, aquarium residents include seals, river otters, sea turtles, jellyfish, and more than 100 other species from Long Island Sound and its watershed.
