CANDLELIGHT STROLL AT STRAWBERY BANKE

Experience 350 years of US history, winter traditions, and holiday celebrations during the Candlelight Stroll at Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth, N.H. (Dec 1-2, 8-9, 15-16). Hundreds of candles light the lanes in this 10-acre historic village where you can take a horse-drawn carriage ride, listen to carolers, warm your hands by a bonfire, enjoy refreshments in the Cider Shed, and view demonstrations of 18th-century hearth cooking, wreath-making, pressed-flower greeting cards, and more. Adults $20, children ages 5-17 $10, 4 and under free. Families (two adults and children 17 and under) $50.
