JEFFERSON, N.H. — Santa’s gone high tech. Along with popular rides such as the Skyway Sleigh Monorail and Peppermint Twist, visitors to Santa’s Village will find a new synchronized music and light show and a 3-D movie. Guests should plan to stay after dark to get the full effect of the light display, which includes a 60-foot main tree, a 20-foot color ribbon tree, and thousands of lights strung throughout the park’s 13 acres.

A movie, “A Tinkerdoodle Christmas,” chronicles the antics of L. Fastidious Tinkerdoodle as he prepares Santa for his Christmas Eve journey.

Other new features at the park, which is celebrating its 59th season, are a remodeled Main Street area with a new Elf University, more stroller parking, and renovated bathrooms, known as the “North Bowl.” At Christmastime, food concessions stock up on hot chocolate, soups, chowders, and chili. Children can decorate their own gingerbread cookies at the bakery.

And Santa greets every child, listening attentively to the wishes and wants of the season.
