March 9 at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Adults $18, ages 8-18 $12; includes snowshoe instruction, guide, and admission to the museum. Snowshoe rentals $12 per person. Tours are limited to 10 people, and reservations are required. Public tours of the museum’s main galleries Thu and Sun, 2 p.m., free with admission.

On Feb. 17 visitors are invited to help build an 8-foot snowball and create snow decahedrons with public artist Dan Sternof Beyer. Beyer has crafted several decahedron molds (10-sided geometric shapes) that participants can fill with snow and spread around the park. The all-day festival will include hands-on art projects, special tours, and activities. Drop in anytime throughout the day, and stay for one activity or several. Activities are free with museum admission. Inside the museum, you can pick up a family activity kit, and participate in hands-on workshops, interactive exhibits, and art play designed to further explore the museum’s newest exhibition, “PAINT THINGS:
