From June to mid-July, the college’s summer program offers about 20 workshops, including painting, mixed media, comics, woodblock painting, drawing, etching, film, digital arts, and collage. The workshops run for five days; the cost for most of them is $795 (or $715 before April 10), with housing running about $375 for a shared room,  or $500 for a private room.

In late April, after offering workshops in Italy for 17 years, this company will host a four-day workshop in Ipswich painting the marshes of the Crane Estate.  Tuition is $525, room and board at the Inn of Castle Hill not included. The company will also offer workshops during the summer and fall in Tuscany and Civita Castellana, Italy. Fees $2,150-$2,950, depending on location and occupancy.

Salem-based artist Paula Beaulieu leads several on-site workshops each year. In May she will lead two groups to Italy for a week each painting in Umbria. The first week is sold out; the second is May 14-22. Cost is $2,100 and includes accommodations, meals, lessons, and local travel and sightseeing. Closer to home is a workshop slated for June 14-17 on Monhegan Island. Cost of $470 includes private accommodations with shared bath, meals, etc. Workshop Sept. 4-8 in Acadia National Park (single $559, double $380 per person).

This workshop comprises six days and five nights painting in the Mount Monadnock region. Cost is $588 and includes accommodations, meals, program-related activities, and lectures.
