STEPHEN JERMANOK FOR THE BOSTON GLOBE

BREWSTER — Already a perennial family favorite for its private bayside beach, Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, six swimming pools, tennis complex, and easy access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club has just upped the ante with the launch of the Presidential Bay Collection.

Thirty-one two- and three-bedroom villas on the Mansion side (closest to the beach) have been redesigned with far more contemporary flair under the helping hand of California-based Linda Snyder.

Snyder, whose interior design work includes the Back Bay Hotel in Boston and the St. Regis Resort in Deer Valley, Utah, brings an inviting palette to the rooms. Walls are peach colored, while the oversized cushions on the living room couch radiate a warm ocean blue. Black and white photos of a tall mast and sails, and lamps with knobs made from sea glass enhance the Cape Cod appeal.

Then there’s the space. Enter the two-bedroom villa and to your left is a full kitchen, complete with stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, cupboard full of dishes, complimentary bottles of the Ocean Edge label cabernet and chardonnay, and a refrigerator stocked with juice, milk, soda, cream, bottled water, and pints of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream.

Beyond the kitchen is the dining room table, a large sitting area with sofa, and the first of three flat-screen televisions. You can choose to have your meals on the outdoor deck.

The master bedroom is across from the kitchen. The four-poster bed, layered with pillows, leads to a private balcony and a bathroom with Tommy Bahama shampoos and lotions. The other bedroom has its own deck and bathroom with tub.

Bordered by forest on one side, the setting is quiet. It’s a two-minute walk to the beach, where clambakes, bonfires, and the chance to try stand-up-paddleboarding await. With a slew of activities to entice children, parents might actually have a chance to lounge on the beach with a good summer read, and dare I say, relax.
