Painted Red Nails: kellery, Sandwich: “My daughter’s favorite place for an eyebrow wax, and mine, too. The ladies at Painted Red Nails are friendly, and very accommodating. It’s absolutely spotless — a big plus in our books since many nail salons/spas aren’t very clean. We’ve been to several salons for waxing and Painted Red Nails is the best — reasonable prices for waxing, and again, I have to stress how clean it is. Trust me, one salon we visited was downright cringe-worthy. I’ve heard the pedi’s and mani’s here are great, too, no rushing, which is exactly what you want when having a pedi.” . . . Pilates by LJ: Maureen O Mashpee: “I am enrolled in Joanne’s Monday morning barre-pilates series. It is a wonderful way to start my week. Joanne gives us individual attention, encouraging us and leading us in correct form, so that we gain the full benefits of our class. Convenient parking, immaculate facility, supportive class members. :)” . . . Sol Spa: Cheri1952, Harwich Port: “Moved to The Cape and was looking for someone who could provide me with a massage that would not hurt me, so I was very picky. I had been to several, however, a friend gave me Sol Spa Valentines Special last year. I called and the owner, Jannell, called back immediately! I have had many massages, however, she was the best. It has been a year later, and I invest in a year’s worth of massages! She has special packages for purchase. Her massages keep’s me out of the doctor’s office and has reduced the amount of medicine I need for back pain. Need I say more.” . . . Penny House Inn & Day Spa: angevine16, North Truro: “Under new ownership since a former poor review, the Penny House Inn and Day Spa is going to put Eastham on the map as a place to stay, relax, and rejuvenate. All of the rooms are charming, the gardens are beautiful, and on hot summer days the pool is inviting. Beyond that, however, the inn offers experiences that will soothe your body and challenge your mind. The spa is gorgeous, well-appointed, and peaceful. Artist-in-residence Nino Scimeca offers painting classes (and if you’re lucky, you can get a glimpse of his own work in his studio right on the premises), and writing workshops and retreats are held regularly. The inn is open year-round and will enchant all visitors, whether they’re looking for a place to stay in the bustle of summertime or a place to reflect in the peace and quiet of winter.”
