I can't think of a more revolting individual. Maybe it was his childhood and his controlling father, eating his ice cream cone. Someone should have stolen little Grover's ice cream and told him"See, that's what happens when there are no police because you don't feel up to contributing to your country and community." Even sicker are the political wimps who live in fear of this little man. Fact is, every Democrat administration from and including Truman had resulted in a deficit reduction, every GOP administration hasd resulted in an increase. They don't care about the deficit, it's all me, me, me, and my money.

Poor Grover may want to go back to the 'Polaroid executive's' lessons. How did things turn out for Polaroid? When you think you know it all, that's when the trouble usually begins.

Born rich, hates taxes. A life made less from elbow grease than from hot air. An American zero for our time.

You need to back up your claims. I am neither confirming nor denying what you say, but I am making the assumption that your assertion is based on having found that information somewhere.

Terrific article. Well done, Mr. Swidey!

The attempt to humanize this bully falls short. It is nice that he is nice to his family and that he has a sense of humor. But a man that cannot deny his own daughter even a small toy has no qualms about what his extremism might cause to be denied to others. He has accelerated this country's race to the bottom, expressing no interest in discussions of just how low we should go. The rich are taxed less than ever, while their apologists complain louder than ever. The author is to be commended, at least, for the reminders that this fellow has never been elected, and that he is embarrassed to identify many of his funding sources.

How ironic that a man who bullies grown men can not say no to a 3 year old.

Never thought I would say this and I usually loathe when people overuse Hitlerian references but it is simply MY own feeling. I LOATHE, DETEST and am REPULSED by this little, mean, despicable excuse for a human being. My only comperable detestaion is Hitler. This man is evil and has done more to ensure the country fail than any right wingnut politico ever to grace us with their malevolence. May he not succeed, lose his gazillions, end up on the street so he can see how the desperate and dispossessed live!

No deficit reduction from this administration. They don't care about the deficit, it's all about you, you and your money!

Come on Grover, put the purple suit back on, then tune in to the following episode of Sesame Street and do some math for us. Let's see: no new taxes + more spending on war goods + more corporate and wealthy folks tax breaks = a) more deficit spending and bankruptcy of the country (and my grand kids) b) less spending on education and research and loss of our technical leadership c) reduced spending on healthcare and social commitments ending "We the people" Or all of the above? Sounds like a new movie doesn't it: Republicans run the Hunger Game!

The Emperor has no clothes, and has already been stared down and smacked down by Barack Obama, more than once. That is the true story of this man... a petty fool who thought he could ride into power on the backs of an idiotic 2-year lame duck congress, and got knocked clear off the saddle in one swipe.

His father was abusive to him! That's why he keeps on talking! To avoid the anxiety his father caused! Grover would do well to see a counselor and explore his relationship with Dad.

This man is a very sick individual. In another time, he would be in a sanatarium babbling about government. It is a terrible statement about our political system that a man who is such a crazed zealot that nobody would ever elect him to any office can run congress grom behind a curtain. It is very telling that Plastic Mittster and Scooter Brown have rushed to sign, praying that massive support from similarly greedy, despicable humans will buy enough votes to get them elected.
