If you're not going to include Soundbites and the Ball Square Cafe, you may as well not make this list.

Is there nothing on the whole North Shore besides one place in Lynn that merits attention for breakfast? What about Red's in Salem, Blue Moon Grill in Wakefield, Sugar Magnolia in Gloucester just for starters?

I am shocked that Sugar in Roslindale was not mentioned. Shocked!

How about the buttery in the south end? And the paramount. In southie.....good grief

Martins in Brookeline is the best diner type breakfast in the city. Deep Ellum in Allston also has a great breakfast.

Since S&S in Cambridge is missing from this list--not to mention Soundbites in Somerville--I find myself wondering about its genesis. Did each firm have to pay to be mentioned? Are these personal choices--the favorites of a too inexperienced staff writer? Actually folks...rather than taking this drivel seriously and missing out of the best that Boston has to offer for food, I just subscribe to Zagat on line. At least I know how those ratings get to be there.

I was also wondering how the S&S got left off of the list.

How could you have missed the fabulous Sunday Brunch at The Elephant Walk? For shame! Prix Fixe at $19.95 for a three-course meal (with a free mimosa) is not to be missed! And at all locations!
