At Olympics, it’s time to focus on sports, not sex appeal

Comments

"Today, 112 years after women first competed in the Games and 40 years after Title IX legislated equal opportunity for US women in sports..." >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Correction, Title IX legislated equality for US women in sports, not equal opportunity. There were far more men who wanted to get into various sports than there were women, so many men did not get in, and may women who were either not very interested or did not have great potential went into sports because the perks were there for them.

Sports are more business and spectacle than anything else. Money (TV, advertisement, etc.) have taken over. Olympics are no exception. Good points but rather irrelevant.

If they really want to keep the Olympic spirit then the female athletes should be naked as was the practice during the original Greek games.

Coed naked volleyball used to be a Tee shirt that kids wore to freak out their parents but I'm telling you, make it an official Olympic sport, we're talking ratings gold, baby, ratings gold!

Your comment sucked the first time, we didn't need the multiple reposts.
