I have a good friend whose family fled in the night just ahead of Hutu machetes, several years after the major incidents of genocide, which were unimaginable horrors driven by a rabid Hutu propaganda machine. I have so many questions, not the least of which are why hard-working, deserving U.S. citizens do not the receive the assistance this woman did. It is a good thing I will never be in the position to serve on her jury, because frankly, it would be impossible for me not to believe she has culpability.
