In 2003, Newburyport teenager Neil Bornstein suffered a traumatic brain injury in an accident that killed his girlfriend. His mother tells of the journey the entire family took.
I remember the accident. I was living in Newburyport at the time and I wept for the families and the two teenagers. Reading this update today, I weep again, for the young girl who will never grow old, for the young man who has had to overcome so much adversity and for their families. I am happy that Neil has recovered. I'm sure it was only through hard work and determination on his own part and the love and caring of his parents. My heart goes out to all of you.
