Myles, a twin with a heart defect, had been rushed to surgery — the first of several — hours after he was born on March 24, 2011. Until Myles was ready to go home, Walsh showered and dressed at the hospital and conducted House business from his phone and laptop between doctors’ rounds. He commuted by Green Line to Beacon Hill or was shuttled back and forth by his staff.

Steve Walsh has core values inform his every decision. Even when one happens to disagree with him. you can be sure that he has truly considered your opinion...and come to another. He has breathtaking political intelligence without being ideological. I don't know what the path forward for him is, but I have been delighted to be his constituent. He should be on the Governor's short list of excellent legislators who could take the interim job as Senator, replacing Mr. Kerry.
Rep. Steve Walsh should run for Congress in 2 years. Cong. Tierney lucked out a thin win and was saved by a presidential/us senate voter turnout. He should gratefully retire and let smart, innovative and forward thinking Dems like Rep. Walsh step forward to lead. Walsh has the political courage and conviction that is sorely missing in today's inept and disappointing Congress.
