ANDRE HOWELL

24 / AVON

> A self-described Anglophile, Howell is a big fan of British fashion style. “I had never seen this color in a classic tweed,” he says of the grayed sky blue blazer. Atypically, he pairs it with rose-pink casual pants (both pieces from Reiss), explaining, “I wanted an interesting color on bottom so all the interest isn’t on top.”

> Howell layered the jacket over a powder-blue wool sweater, also an unusual choice for winter wear (from Reiss), and a wear-under-everything white Hanes T-shirt (from Macy’s) to brighten the colors around his face.

> Even Howell’s accessories are in soft focus: a washed-moss canvas shoulder bag (from Jack Wills) and Timberland boots (from Macy’s) in a rather springy light tan.

ASIA KEPKA

45 / ARLINGTON

> “I’m a photographer. I like dressing up,” says Kepka, who clearly lights up a room with her sherbet-color mix. The aqua sheer dress (from the Todd Farm Flea Market in Rowley) is secondhand, as is the 1960s full-length slip underneath (borrowed from Mom). Both the dress and pastel sweater (from The Closet) glitter with sequins.

> Kepka now likes this lemon-yellow patent-leather bag (from Marshalls), but she had to rip off the giant bow first.

> In winter, Kepka wears her fashionable and functional blood-red patent boots (Earth Brands from Nordstrom) with everything.

ANNA DARLING LUTERMAN

9 / LEXINGTON

> When Anna went to tea at the Four Seasons with her mother, more than one woman looked on enviously at the third-grader’s winter-white dress with sculpted fabric roses. She picked it out herself (from the Garnet Hill catalog).

> Pink shearling waltzed down many a runway last season. Anna found her own faux version (also from the Garnet Hill catalog) that looks just as fashion-forward.

> The twisted plush scarf (from Claire’s) couldn’t be a better match for the textured dress, with Kenneth Cole black patent boots (from Nordstrom) just the right kicky touch for the young fashion plate.
