Green Papaya in Waltham has been serving great Thai food for close to two decades. The appetizer called Pheasant Wings is not a traditional Thai dish and has nothing to do with pheasants, but it’s delicious: Two chicken wings are deboned, then filled to capacity with a mix of chopped chicken, shrimp, water chestnuts, and black mushrooms. They are carefully steamed, then crisped in a fryer, and come with hot-and-sour sauce.  — Rachel Travers
