I feel absolutely no pity for Bulger or his Moll. He murdred and tortured many, ruined many a family and caused hundreds to live in fear. He even turned on his partners in crime. If anyone deserves to die alone in a cell, it's "Jimmie" Bulger. His brother is no angel either. Why isn't he on trial for Obstuction of Justice?
How is this a love story? He was violent, controlling, and unappreciative.
I have to admit reading this is kind of a guilty pleasure. However, it feels disrespectful of all of his many victims who suffered at the hands of this sadistic and vicious person.
It also disgusts me that we are paying an obscene pension to William Bulger, his criminal brother who protected and enabled him and lied to Congress about it.
It is a truly shameful part of living in Massachusetts and I hope that some small measure of justice is done at last.
Thank you for saying that: I, too, think that writing any kind of a literary venture about Bulger while he and his victims' families are alive is beyond insensitive. Let's wait for 50 or 75 years till those who suffered from his murders have died.
Nothing new in this story.
"The Sad, Sweet, Bizarre, Story...." Sunday Globe Magazine Headline.
What?!
More like "The Sad, Offensive, Insensitive Globe Magazine Headline!"
Who approved this excersise in bad (editorial) taste?
It's all inexcuseable what the Globe has done. Is this the National Enquirer?
I agree with DennisMan, when I saw the teaser about the story I was fuming that the globe would stoop so low to sell newspapers. It makes me sick. The two Bulger brothers and the Globe, a trio of discust. All thress should go away!
The love life of Jeffrey Dahmer.
The Boston Strangler when he was just hangin' out.
Son of Sam and his romantic fantasies.
The silly side of Joe Barboza
Whitey and the Old Gang celebrating St. Valentine's Day
Wonderful articles like this could go on for many years and keep us all in a state of romantic enthrallment
“She did what all the cops, prisons and courts couldn’t,” he wrote. “Got me to live crime free 16 years — for this they should give her a medal.” I guess when you're a psychopathic mass murderer buying and possessing guns, stealing identities, and being a fugitive is a pretty crime free lifestyle.
Impressive how you made this monster seem human..
