An unusual choice during the Senate election.

On the morning of the special election for senator, my daughter went to the polling site in Newton to vote. She had her children, ages 2½ years and 9 months, in tow. En route, my granddaughter asked, “Mommy, what are we doing?” Mommy told her that they were “choosing someone to help our country.” After a moment of thought, my granddaughter replied, “I choose Grandma!”
