At Beat Hotel in Harvard Square, a very traditional glogg.

A brew of red wine, dark rum, and brandy that’s seasoned with cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, orange peel, and sugar, the Beat Hotel’s glogg is quite traditional — owner Bertil Jean-Chronberg is half Swedish, after all. It’s served warm, of course, in a glass mug and with a silver spoon, so you can fish out the raisins and sliced almonds.  — Rachel Travers
