CAPTURING THE MOMENT
There’s plenty of beach just up the street from the RED LION INN in Cohasset, says Dana Curran of the wife-and-husband photography company Henry+Mac (henryandmac.com). These two love the rustic style of the inn, says Curran, but also “wanted to get that seaside feel — the best of both worlds.”
SCONSET, NANTUCKET’S sweet streets are quiet enough for portraits in early June “just before the season” gets into full swing.
This couple “planned their wedding date and time around the tide schedule so they knew it would be low tide,” Curran says. “They wanted the boats to be sitting up on the sand” for their ceremony at CHEQUESSETT YACHT & COUNTRY CLUB in Wellfleet.

A twist on the guest book
1) Along with the programs, have ushers give guests slips of paper and encourage them to write notes for the couple to read on their one-year, three-year, and 10-year anniversaries.
2) Guests can place their messages into three labeled bottles.
3) Following the ceremony, the couple seal the bottles — and their friends’ and families’ offerings of love, wisdom, and advice — to open in the years to come.
