Stuffed poblano at Somerville’s Tu y Yo

In Powder House Square, a traditional dish with almonds and raisins.

Kayana Szymczak for the boston globe

Almonds, raisins, apples, pineapples, and peaches sweeten ground beef stuffing in the chile relleno en nogada at Tu y Yo in Somerville’s Powder House Square. The stuffed poblano pepper is served covered in a creamy walnut sauce and sprinkled with pomegranate and cilantro — adding tang and completing the colors of the Mexican flag.   — Alexa McMahon
