The school year may be ending soon, but that doesn’t mean Boston-area teens will be sitting around doing nothing for months. Studies show that despite a national slump, this area is among the nation’s best when it comes to teenage employment. According to the mayor’s office, more than 9,000 teens found jobs in Boston businesses last summer, and officials hope that figure reaches 10,000 this year.
