    Surviving pothole season

    A child’s view of navigating Boston streets after a long winter.

    By the time my daughter was 3, we had taken many plane trips. One afternoon, while driving in Boston with my daughter safely strapped into her car seat, we hit a particularly car-rattling pothole. All of a sudden I heard a sweet voice from behind asking: “Have we landed yet?”
