Boston police yesterday released the names of two Boston men fatally shot and a teen-ager critically wounded in separate assaults Monday night and early yesterday morning.
In a shooting yesterday morning, Marshall Hall, 42, of Dorchester, was found by police at Homestead Street in Roxbury with a gunshot wound to the back. He was pronounced dead at Boston City Hospital, according to a police spokesman.
On Monday, George Whitesides of Roxbury was shot to death on Castlegate Road in Dorchester about 8:50 p.m. by a suspect who then allegedly fired a handgun at two Boston police officers, according to police.
The officers pursued the suspect and a group of about eight other males but lost track of them behind Jeremiah E. Burke High School, police said.
Yesterday, police were searching for a man about 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing white sneakers, in connection with Whitesides’ death.
In another Monday night shooting, 16-year-old Rubbein McMasters of Dorchester suffered a gunshot wound to the head at Weaver Court in Roxbury. He was reported in critical condition yesterday at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Police said they had no information about possible suspects in the case.
