Jared Remy accused of assaulting girlfriend

Jared Remy, son of Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy, was arrested Monday at his father’s home in Weston and charged with assaulting his girlfriend, according to Waltham police Lieutenant Richard Couture.

Remy, 27, was charged with four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count of intimidation of a witness.


Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 4 p.m. at Remy’s home on Summer Street, where they found his girlfriend with injuries to her eye, nose, and mouth.

She was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital by a friend.
