Schools crack down on dirty dancing

Administrators around region ban grinding

The waltz it ain’t. Raunchy and about as subtle as “Jersey Shore,’’ the sexually charged dance style known as grinding has drawn gasps of dismay from school administrators, and caused high school dances to be cancelled. A number of schools, in Massachusetts and beyond, have banned the explicit gyrations, saying they border on the obscene and embarrass adults and students alike.
