Roommate faces an Army inquiry

An Army sergeant accused of killing his roommate, a Falmouth man, while the two served in Iraq will face a hearing next month that will determine whether the case should go before a court martial, according to the victim’s family. Sergeant Brent McBride allegedly shot fellow sergeant, Matthew Gallagher, in the head on June 26 in the room they shared overseas, according to Gallagher’s family. But Gallagher’s parents said they did not learn the cause of their son’s death until almost a month later when they received an autopsy report.
